Pumpkin Village, Leesburg Animal Park (9/19-11/8)
Come for the pumpkins but stay for the animals and activities! 
Family-friendly activities include a giant hill slide, maze, rope swings, pedal carts, and a moon bounce. Visit on a weekend for a few extras including live entertainment! Make sure to also check out the petting zoo to pet and feed a variety of exotic and domestic animals.

Great Country Farms, Bluemont VA (9/19-10/31)
I’m sure you’ve been to plenty of pumpkin patches and fall festivals before, but have you been to Great Country Farms during a derby pig race?! Great Country Farms offers a truly one-of-a-kind experience through its features of the aforementioned pig races, cider pressing demonstrations, pumpkin cannons, and pumpkin eating dinosaurs. If you visit before September 30th you can also partake in apple picking season. You can bet there will be no shortage of laughter and memories made when you make a visit here! 

Cox Farms, Centreville VA (9/19-11/8)
Whether you want to enjoy a full Fall day at the farm or just stop by the Festival Market for some cider and apple pie, you can do it all at Cox Farms! Start out your Fall day by sliding down one, or all, of Cox Farm’s giants slides. Next, head over to the animals for a milking demonstration and to feed the goats. After that, you deserve to treat yourself to some lunch at Cox’s Kitchen while you listen to live music. As the day turns into night, you’ll want to prepare yourselves for “Fields of Fear”—a hauntingly fun experience of spooky attractions located throughout the 20 acre farm! 

Butler’s Orchard, Germantown MD (9/19-11/1)
Since 1964, the Butler family has been serving the area with seasonal fruits and vegetables, decorations, ciders, and more! What once started out as a single barn has now expanded into a full farm park for the whole family to enjoy. When you visit Butler’s Orchard during their annual Pumpkin Festival, you’ll be treated to hayrides, corn mazes, giant slides, pedal tractors, admission to pick your own pumpkins, and so much more! Reservations are highly encouraged as Butler’s Orchard draws families from all across the DMV. This year will be the 46th anniversary! Under 24 month olds are free*

Fall Wine Festival & Sunset Tour, Alexandria VA (10/9-10/11)
The ingredients for the perfect fall day: cool autumn air, beautiful views of changing leaves, and wine! Join in on the fun at George Washington’s Mount Vernon and enjoy unlimited samples of Virginia’s finest wines while you take in the sights along the Potomac River.

Fall Festival,  Old Town Fairfax (10/8)
If you’re looking for the traditional fall festival, this is the one! Arts and crafts, rides for the children, music, food, and more can be found here. What once started out as a small, local festival has grown immensely and now features over 400 vendors. This is their 50th anniversary!

Vienna Halloween Parade (10/28 at 7pm)
The Town of Vienna has been able to count on their annual Halloween Parade, held rain or shine, since 1946. This parade is truly a staple in the community and will occur on Wednesday the week before Halloween down Maple Ave from Branch Rd to Center St. This year’s theme is “Haunted History: 250 Years of America”. Children and others in costume are welcome to join in on the parade fun. No need to register!
